The strength of the book Distant Proximity is the symbiosis of reality, art and a hidden, urgent call - a call to a cry for change in social institutions. That message can be heard when we quietly immerse ourselves together with the author of the book in the shots of the lens with which he writes the destinies of the people living behind the walls. The depth of immersion in the photograph paradoxically reveals not only their dramatic situation but also the good created by the pain of fate, which is reflected somewhere unreachably far in the distance and at the same time very close. Matúš Zajac's fifth photo book offers all this unobtrusively, like when someone describes his own story.
